Really nice game loop, just spent an hour on it .. reaching 17 Points and not expecting someone to shoot at me LOL.
I am looking forwards to a more polished version. Hope, you have the time for it. What comes to my mind:
- no scores are shown in the "you are dead" screen.
- the level design, which is well-crafted btw ... however it feels like the levels should be randomly created, so you never know what comes + long term entertaining. New fows / difficulter stages should be present by what your best progress _was_. Otherwise the beginning is as if you had to start Tetris from stage 1 each try.
Just my two cents.. It is a really nice game loop! Thank you for making/publishing the game.
A fun concept! I felt that the controls were a bit awkward, I would change the jump button and the start game button to be the same. I didn't like the shoot button on shift neither, but maybe that's because I'm not used to pressing buttons with my pinky, so I won't complain about that. Finally I would add a high-score counter. Other than that nice job and I'm sorry you ran out of time!
Thanks for the feedback! Yes, I agree that the controls are weird but I’m planning to make a “new-and-improved” version of the game with more levels, a leaderboard, better audio/visuals, and of course, better controls. So please stay tuned! Thanks again.
